We start by addressing the primary complaint, then we go through your past medical history, current history and any family medical history relevant to your current complaint.

Examination:
We then move on to a thorough physical examination where we take vitals and assess the areas relevant to your complaint. During this we perform simple neurological exams as well as orthopaedic assessments.

Explanation
Thereafter we provide you with our primary diagnosis along with a thorough explanation and breakdown of your case to help you understand what you are dealing with. We believe that patient education is fundamental in a successful treatment approach. We then also take you through the treatments we would like to perform on the day and how we would like to structure your treatment plan inside and outside the practice. If you are happy with the proposed treatment plan we then get started with the treatment process!
This is a two-way street and your collaboration in the treatment is fundamental to a successful outcome!

We then commence with our treatment plan and provide home exercise & lifestyle recommendations to help you along this process.

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to book. If your case requires co-management, imaging, or referral, we’ll discuss that after assessment.
How long is the first appointment?
The first appointment is longer than a follow-up because it includes a full case history and examination. Typically a first visit will run about an hour long. We’ll explain what we find and discuss options before any treatment.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. Depending on the area being assessed, we may ask you to adjust clothing to allow proper examination (with privacy respected).
Please refrain from wearing excessive jewelry and high heels as it may damage our equipment
Can I bring imaging or medical reports?
Yes! please bring any relevant X-rays, MRIs, blood work, specialist letters, or a summary from your GP/physio/specialist.
What happens if I’m late?
If you arrive late, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. In some cases, the session may be shortened or we may need to reschedule to keep on time for other patients.
Our cancellation policy
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.
If you do not attend (no-show) or you cancel within 12 hours of your appointment, a cancellation fee of R750 will be charged.
This fee must be paid in full. An invoice and payment details will be provided.
